Norwegian National Pride

I always find it quite hard to talk and write about nationalism and national pride. In my home country of England we are taught from very young that flag waving and cheering our country on causes division and makes other nations (especially those people living in England who are not born there) feel alienated and uncomfortable and so even when it's England's national day on 23 April we rarely fly flags and there is no celebration of the country with special food and parties.
