Nordic baking might not always be on a par with French patisserie, but it definitely comes a close second. No Nordic party or special event is complete without the "kakebord" or cake table and often these are a sight to behold!
Baking can give us such joy. Seeing the finished results of all your efforts and getting the chance to use a bit of creativity and imagination can't be beaten.

I've tried to include plenty of traditional recipes from the Nordic region and my own discoveries of recipes old and new. But I've also included a few of my own favourites that showcase the beauty of Scandinavian ingredients that are in season.

Have fun baking and do let me know how it goes. I'd love to know!
