Sauna Season Begins: The Nordic Art of Slowing Down as Cold Returns

Last week, Andre and I were driving through one of our local villages in Norway and I noticed that one house had a beautiful new little cabin in their garden. It was wooden and had a metal pipe coming out of the roof. It was a sauna. It got Andre and I onto a discussion about whether or not we would build a sauna in our garden. We are neither of us sauna people, but if I was offered a house with a sauna already in the garden I would most certainly use it but only in the autumn and winter.
