Today is the day! After months (or years!) of dreaming, writing, and pouring my heart into this project, I’m beyond excited to announce that my book, Friluftsliv: How to Love the Outdoors Like You’re Nordic, is officially available as of 23 September. 🎉

What is Friluftsliv?

If you’re new to the term, friluftsliv (pronounced free-loofts-liv) is a beautiful Norwegian and Swedish word that translates to “open-air life.” But it’s so much more than that. It’s about slowing down, finding joy in nature, and weaving the outdoors into everyday life—whether that means hiking in the mountains, taking a simple walk after dinner, or sipping coffee on your balcony wrapped in a blanket.

This book is my love letter to that philosophy. Inside, you’ll discover:

I chose this date because it marks the autumn equinox—a turning point in the seasons when we naturally look for ways to reconnect, slow down, and embrace the beauty of change. It feels like the perfect moment to release a book that’s all about finding harmony in nature.
