Knäck, Swedish Christmas Butterscotch

It's not Christmas in Sweden without knack or Swedish Christmas butterscotch. This delicious toffee is rather like the inside of a Daim bar. It's crunchy and snaps hence the name knäck which means crack in Swedish.
It's a wonderfully easy recipe to add to your Christmas repertoire and is something a little bit different to the usual Christmas candy. And it's only a handful of ingredients which can never be wrong.
My recipe for knack is the classic simple Swedish Christmas butterscotch but you can add chopped almonds or another nut for a little of something extra.
