In Scandinavia we don't feel like summer has started until we eat our first locally grown strawberries. But once we have eaten them a few times with a sprinkling of sugar (or spruce tip sugar!) and a dash of cream we look to different ways to enjoy them.

Scandinavians do love their cakes and no party or event is complete without a breathtaking array of cakes and deserts. They are often simple and honest with just a handful of good quality ingredients and always in natural colours with flowers or some fruit to decorate.
