The great debate - shoes inside or not?

I am sure I'm not the only one who regularly sees debates on social media about the wearing of shoes inside the house. It seems like the winter is a time when we get into these discussions. I suppose we are all trying to keep our homes clean and welcoming and there is plenty of wet outside in the autumn and winter months.
