Living in Norway has taught me so many things about living more healthily and more in tune with the seasons and with nature. It might seem a bit touchy-feely, but it's made my life so much better. One thing I tell everyone is that you don't need to live in Norway or have Nordic heritage to welcome some healthy Nordic habits into your life. And I know that wherever I live in the world those habits that have become such an important part of my life will be with me.
Recently I had to travel "home" to England for a few weeks and those habits were the cornerstone of keeping myself grounded and happy. It didn't matter that I wasn't in Norway, I still took that Nordic life with me.
On one evening I weas visiting my bestie in England and we were talking about what we would be doing the following day. I told her I was going to go hiking because I really needed to get outside in nature. I asked her is she wanted to come knowing full well that hiking is not her thing. She laughed and said "why would I want to. I've got all this - my TV, the settee, the fire and a glass of Prosecco" We laughed as I tried to convince how wonderful the fresh air would feel, the wind in her hair and a cup of coffee overlooking an incredible view. Hiking is still not her thing, but I felt like I knew a secret to my own happiness that hour outside would make me feel great again And I know that you know that too.
