There are no elaborate ceremonies, no expensive expectations (I love that!) and no frantic rush to create the perfect social media moment. Instead, there is often a quiet sense of marking the occasion, enjoying it and then getting on with what really matters. The end of the school year is a perfect example.
As June arrives, the atmosphere begins to shift. The children may still have lessons to attend and homework to finish (sometimes), but everyone knows that summer is just around the corner. The days are long, the evenings stretch endlessly ahead and there is a collective feeling that life is about to slow down. Even the adults seem a little lighter as the school holidays approach.
