You want to get outside and enjoy the winter.  You want to understand how to love winter and embrace it in a gentle and hygge way.

But where to start?!  How do you even begin?

Hat_01_01.png

You want to know...

  • How to embrace the cold months without it being a chore

  • How to bring light and nature into the winter months

  • How to enjoy being outside in the winter

  • How to stay warm and dry

  • How to make friends and avoid loneliness

If you don't learn to at least get along with winter in Scandinavia you can find yourself miserable and stuck inside for 6 months of the year, so after a few winters of misery I made a conscious effort and learned all those skills and secrets that Scandinavians learn from birth.

Imagine being so prepared and comfortable (and excited!) about winter that you not only breeze through is effortlessly, but actually look forward to next winter.

There is no need to feel alone and helpless with the prospect of winter stretching ahead of you.

I am here to help and guide you, to offer encouragement and enthusiasm that will stay with you and that will become part of your way of seeing winter and change your mindset about what can be a beautiful and magical time of year.

"Yeah, right!  It's easy when you live in Norway and winter is snowy and pretty"

No, not exactly!  My first winters in Norway were a shock to the system that is hard to put in words.  I had never seen so much snow in one place, or the speed at which it fell, or felt the biting cold through my very inadequate clothing.
Being born and raised in southern England, snow was a rare occurrence for me and when we did get it lasted for a few short days at the most.  It was always easy to spend time inside and avoid getting out into the cold winter air.

But since moving to Scandinavia I've realised that I don't want to miss out on so much of the year.  We can't lose a third of our year simply because we don't know how to face the winter.

Winter no longer scares me.

I look forward to it's magical beauty and unique gifts.

I want to share with you what I have learnt from my years here in Norwegian winters and how you too can embrace and love winter like you're Nordic.
I am going to show you how we can find beauty and joy in this season and learn to look forward to it.
