A Journey to Living More Nordicly

I've been a little quiet on the blog front recently because I've been working something that's been on my mind for a year or more.

When I first started this blog I wanted to share the secrets I had learnt (and was still learning) about Nordic living.

How do people live in such cold climates and still remain so happy and balanced?

As I published more and more blog posts, and expanded the Living a Nordic Life community into a Facebook group I saw that so many other people felt the same way as me. They wanted to learn about living more Nordicly, Nordic heritage and the secrets of Nordic living that can are so much easier to learn if you live here.

The one single thing that has had the greatest impact on my life is friluftsliv, that special Nordic practice of getting outside into nature. It sounds so simple doesn't it? But if we live in towns and cities it can feel incredibly unattainable. Or maybe like me your body decides on some days that you are not getting out there!

And so I started writing about my own journey to embrace this aspect of Nordic living, how it impacted me and improves my mental and physical health.

What began as a writing a book, slowly evolved into so much more.

Once I had put the bare bones onto paper (well a PC!), I realised that a book wasn't ever going to be enough to share this special part of Nordic life. It needed to be a series of practical guides with easy to implement tasks and steps; something that could be used as a tool to help anyone get outside into nature and make the most of the gifts that nature gives us that benefit us so greatly.

I wanted to share my own secrets to keeping the enthusiasm alive and to help anyone reading it to feel a connection to friluftsliv in ways they may not have thought of and to overcome barriers to stepping out of the door.

And so following months of writing and planning, editing and designing, I am delighted to announce the arrival of:

"Frilftsliv: The Nordic Art of Loving the Outdoors How to Welcome it into Your Own Life"

Launching on 2 April 2022.

I will be sharing many more details in the next 2 weeks, keeping you updated with the launch and where you will be able to download the guide and...

a special EARLY BIRD OFFER of 99NOK

(approximately $11/£8.50/€10.20) for the first 10 days

Thank you for being with me on this journey, for keeping me motivated and providing such a lot of inspiration for me to take the first steps towards a new path to helping more and more people.
